Texas Teacher Rejoice - the New TEKS Guide is Live!

EXPLORE IT NOW

The past several years for Texas Teachers has been quite the journey with new TEKS, a curriculum adoption, and more! Thankfully, the Texas Education Agency's (TEA) latest addition helps to take away a lot of confusion.

TEKS, or the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills are the guiding standards for all Texas educators. For those caught unaware, there has been a large number of changes, revisions, and movement of TEKS within the field of science education. This has caused a large-scale level of confusion for educators unsure of what they are required to teach or no longer responsible for.

Enter TEA's TEKS Guide! This new resource might have flown under your radar unless you had someone actively direct you to it or you are an avid TEKS enthusiast. This resource, while still new, allows you to navigate standards by grade level, discipline, and even search for key terms/words.

Worth noting is that this is still in BETA, so do not expect it to be perfect - what really is these days. TEA encourages feedback, and the more feedback the better. Check it out today!
